Art Groups and Retreats

Sacred selfie: Art retreat to honor yourself

Give yourself the gift of time to create in community.

Social media encourages us to take selfies and digital images of our outer selves.

We choose carefully what we share, curating an image of ourselves for the response and comment of others.

In this afternoon art retreat, we will explore and express our sacred inner selfie. We gather for four hours, sharing conversation and creative practice. Light snacks and tea will be served.

We will uplift aspects of ourselves that we cherish, and honor the parts of ourselves that we may keep hidden from public view. We will support each other to gently increase our self-awareness and increase our compassionate self-acceptance.

We will have the opportunity to play with a variety of media, including paint, collage, drawing, glitter, and more. All supplies will be provided, and no art expertise is necessary - this is a time for fun and pleasure, outside of any necessity for performance or judgment.

Growing hopeful:

An online art group for grief, connection and celebration.

Creating art together is a way to cultivate deep connection with ourselves and with others.

We are living in times of rapid change, in culture and in climate. We may feel isolated or disconnected. We may not have as much time as we would like for creativity and self-care.

While not therapy, this group is intended to support you to nurture hope and positive change, while also giving space and time to express your sadness and fear.

Each meeting will offer time to check in around our joys and challenges, an art activity, and time to share in whole group and smaller pairings about our creations and our experience of making art.

You are welcome to come as often as you would like.

You can enroll for three, six or nine meetings at a time, and schedule the dates that you are able to attend.
