Oil paintings, mixed media and monotypes

I love painting. Sometimes I paint with oils on canvas, and sometimes I’ve painted with ink on a metal plate to create a monotype. When the metal plate is complete, a damp sheet of paper is laid on top, and then both are run through a press, to transfer the ink from the plate onto the paper. Only one image results from each plate painting.

I also paint on interesting objects that I have collected from urban detritus. I find it extremely satisfying to recycle “trash” and transform it into beautiful art.
